DVLA "O" series of personalised car registrations number plates are ready to launch.
2009 will see the launch at DVLA auction for all those people who have a passion for private number plates an amazing series of number plates never previously released. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, DVLA, looks forward to auctioning their collection of the O-series of private registrations plates. This auction will be held in six phases for six of their number plates, all over the country. These plates will include all the personalised vehicle registration numbers plates 1 O, 2 O, 3 O, 4 O, 5 O and finally 6 O.
It has been predicted that the 1 O number plate is the one that will bag the highest amount. Starting at a modest reserve at the auction of £10,000 it will surely fetch in excess of £100,000 next week.
Damian Lawson, the marketing manager of the DVLA, has rightly called the 1 O plate a jewel in their crown. This again was said about 1 RH, which sold before Xmas for over £250,000.
The 1 O number plates is scheduled to be auctioned at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire. This number plates auction will be a three-day event which will begin on the 28th of January. Sales for other DVLA number plates are scheduled for the following months of March, June, August, October and December.
