DEV 1L is the definitely the perfect private number plate if you’re wanting to spell “Devil”, which is probably the reason for its enormous hammer price at a recent DVLA number plate auction. Whislt it was expected to fetch a considerable amount we dont think anyone expected the DVLA to even ever release this one as they usually withdraw or do not release plates deemed to offensive or blasphemous. We were all pretty amazed to see it get put up for sale, let alone it go for the astounding amount it went for at the sale at a whopping £240,010.
This catapults it straight into the super plate table league category which even Cruella Deville would probably not be able to afford. We are in touch with the buyer and look forward to see it grace a super car anytime soon.
